| The 310
system is a quality, full featured, photopolymer platemaker
with improved exposure capability for higher plate quality
and better productivity. The washout tank features two
counter rotating brushes and drum to drum replenishment
along with a negative pressure ventilation system. The
integral dryer provides faster, uniform drying and a
germicidal UV finishing section is included for consistent
detack and operator safety.

RELIABLE PERFORMANCE
SHIFT AFTER SHIFT, AND DAY AFTER DAY,
FOR YEARS OF HIGH PRODUCTIVITY.
The 310 has a solidly constructed, corrosion
resistant frame with a stainless steel exterior. Careful
planning has gone into the selection of all electronic and
mechanical components based on proven performance,
reliability, and domestic availability. in the unlikely event
of parts replacement electrical and mechanical components are
easily accessible through removable service panels. The
electrical system employs circuit breakers throughout.
Imaging Accuracy Time After Time
Imaging accuracy and consistent exposure are
assured. The 310 employs very high intensity (V.H.O.) "rapid
start" UV lamps. Lamp preheat circuitry insures
that exposures remain consistent from plate to plate as well
as significantly extending lamp life.
Accurate exposure times (including front and back
exposure) are achieved by the system's use of separate digital
timers. The exposing section employs a black anti-halation
vacuum board with vacuum attenuation to assure consistent
exposures and quick drawdown without troublesome "hot spots".
A roll of vinyl vacuum cover sheet is built-in Sheet
replacement, when necessary , is easily made by advancing a
new section. An automatic work light is included to provide
easy inspection for possible dust prior to exposure, A lamp
hour meter is provide to monitor lamp replacement and schedule
maintenance. A Sharper, Cleaner Image With Thorough
Washout.
The corrosion resistant washout section of the 310
is equipped for "alternate solvents" and has been designed to
insure complete removal of unexposed photopolymers from
plates. The 310 is designed to run these solvents cleaner with
less polymer residue buildup. The 310 features a true drum to
drum replenishment system to insure consistent washout times.
To thoroughly rinse the plate clean, fresh solvent is
incorporated at the end of the washout cycle - after the drum
is raised from the process solvent. Other primary benefits:
easily adjustable brush to drum gap; high velocity in-tank
exhaust purge reduces odors; "integral containment dam" for
spill control; two counter rotating brushes; and the system is
monitored to maintain all solution levels and for all
ventilating exhaust operations. All working parts in the
washout section are corrosion resistant. Efficiency Plus
In A 3 Drawer Drying Section
The dryer utilizes high velocity
cross flow recirculation to insure gauge uniformity,
dimensional stability, and rapid drying times. The system
employs an adjustable digital temperature control that is
highly accurate to insure consistent temperatures.
The Finishing Touch Delivers the Final Product of Excellence
Finishing uses germicidal
frequency ultra violet lamps to detack the dried plate. This
finishing technique has been proven to provide the most
consistent finishing across the plate, and the plate to plate.
For lamp inspection there are viewing ports with protective UV
filters.
